Service with the military can have complex and long-lasting effects on individuals and families. Many of the routine challenges of life are made more complicated by separation from family and friends and uncertainties about the future. In addition, serving in the armed forces brings with it a wide and varying range of requirements, experiences, and difficulties unique to that field and different with each individual.
I have extensive experience in helping service members and their loved ones cope with issues such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety, grief and loss, fear, guilt, fatigue, and relationship problems. While it may not be simple, there are ways for both soldiers (past and current) and their families to manage these difficulties more successfully and find resources and support for long-term improvement.
